Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DiscoverPOS (the "Service"), operated by HR Discover Lab ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
DiscoverPOS is a cloud-based point-of-sale and inventory platform for retail businesses. We provide the Service on a subscription basis and may add, change, or remove features over time.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate business and contact details when signing up. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials and those of your staff secure. One subscription covers a single business; each staff member should use their own login.
3. Free trial
New businesses receive a 14-day free trial with no payment method required. At the end of the trial your account enters a read-only grace period during which you can still view and export your data. Continued use requires an active paid subscription.
4. Subscription & payment
- The standard plan is Rs 3,500 per month, per shop, billed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR).
- Payment is accepted by bank transfer (and other methods we may enable from time to time).
- Each confirmed payment extends your paid period by one month.
- Prices may change with reasonable advance notice to your account email.
5. Non-payment
If your subscription lapses, your account moves to a read-only state and then to a locked state. We never automatically delete your data. A locked account is restored as soon as a payment is confirmed.
6. Your data
You own the business data you enter — products, sales, customers, and settings. You can export it at any time as CSV or a full ZIP archive from your settings page. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to breach its security, reselling access without authorisation, or using it for unlawful activity. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other customers at risk.
8. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and backed up daily, but we provide it "as is" without a formal uptime guarantee. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, data-entry errors, or events outside our reasonable control.
9. Cancellation
You may stop using the Service at any time by ceasing payment. Export your data first — you remain able to do so during the read-only grace period.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to your account email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
